    Cablevision Systems Corporation Solution Architecture Managed an assessment of financial business processes at a telecommunications company. Led the analysis of the Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Order Entry and Bill of Materials functions.     Cendant Corporation Business Analysis Development of a business case analysis to support the redesign and automation of financial business processes for a Fortune 100 company using Oracle ERP applications.

Analysis of vendor (Siebel and Oracle) proposals and product documentation against both functional and technical requirements to determine a “best fit” solution.     DeLorme Mapping Corporation Solution Architecture Identified over $10 million in cost savings and increased profits for a software company. Conducted a series of “future vision” workshops and interviews with executives and employees throughout the company. Identified 40 initiatives in the Sales and Marketing, Order Generation and Execution, Order Shipment, Accounts Receivable and Customer Service functions, representing over $10 million in cost savings and profit potential. Developed a solution map for the configuration of Oracle CRM Sales and Marketing (OSM), Order Entry, Accounts Receivable, and Service.

    Department of Agriculture (USDA) Solution Architecture Developed an evaluation plan to support the selection and business process re-engineering of customer facing business functions at over 2,500 federal government field offices in preparation for the establishment of consolidated Customer Service Centers. Devised a multi-attribute decision model that was used to rank and prioritize core business processes for re-engineering projects. The project directly supported the National Performance Review.

    Department of Agriculture (USDA) Solution Architecture, Project Management Business Process Re-engineering of a federal government agency’s financial information collection and reporting process, replacing an outdated manual system with a solution incorporating automated data collection, Electronic Data Interchange, automated quality control and desktop publishing. Used automated tools to develop IDEF0 and process/organization models of the existing (current or “as-is”) business processes. Conducted critical path analyses to determine process duration and bottlenecks. Developed Activity Based Costing (ABC) models using Microsoft Excel and used the models to determine the cost for each activity. Developed “straw man” redesign alternatives based on best business practices. Facilitated workshops with client personnel to determine objective (future or “to-be”) business processes. Completed the IDEF0 models, critical path analyses and ABC analyses for the preferred alternatives. The redesigned process reduced costs by 59 percent, and reduced end-to-end cycle time by 65 percent. Developed Windows-based, client/server reporting and Decision Support Systems using MS Visual Studio; enabled the organization to efficiently process and analyze financial and operating information submitted annually by over 2,000 public and private utility companies.

    Department of Agriculture (USDA) Solution Architecture, Project Management Business Process Re-engineering of a federal government agency’s loan servicing process, replacing manual reports with an on-line interactive loan information system. This provided all loan analysts and other decision makers throughout the organization with “on-demand” access to current loan accounting data. The direct labor costs associated with the process were also reduced by 56 percent, and end-to-end cycle time was reduced by 55 percent. Development (using MS Visual Studio) of an integrated set of financial information systems used to perform loan-servicing functions (disbursements, billing, collections, adjustments) for $38 billion in outstanding accounts.

    General Electric Information Services Project Management Assisted a major conglomerate in the estimation and design of a Custom-developed CRM / Sales Force Automation system. Worked with the company to determine and clarify the system requirements, and then developed a detailed Function Decomposition Diagram (FDD) and a data model of the proposed system. Used the FDD and data model, along with a spreadsheet-based analytical model, to determine level of effort for development of the proposed system.

    Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Business Analysis Development of a series of prototypes using PeopleSoft 8 CRM. Gap analysis of the PeopleSoft 8 CRM suite (Help Desk, Interaction Management, Marketing, Sales, Support). Development of screen designs (user interface requirements). Analyzed the company’s current marketing, sales, order fulfillment and customer service business processes. Identified $15 million in annual enhanced revenue opportunity for the company through implementation of Customer Relationship Management (Oracle CRM) applications. Designed a new order fulfillment process for the company that will reduce cycle time from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 days.
